Gumasa Beach, Glan, Sarangani

Roughly 1.5 hours away from General Santos City lies the Municipality of Glan, the summer capital of Sarangani province.

The laid-back town on Sarangani’s eastern shore is blessed with dreamy postcard-perfect beaches, the most famous of which can be found in Gumasa Beach, where a 6KM powdery white sand beach stretches the length of a crescent-shaped cove.

For years, locals have referred to Gumasa Beach as the “Small Boracay of Mindanao” or “Boracay of South” because of the quality of the sand, crystal-clear waters and uncrowded shores.

Gumasa’s main attraction is its powdery white, fine sand beach located just a few kilometers south of Glan town proper. It’s the crowning jewel of Sarangani Bay on this side of the province. A few resorts are lined up on Gumasa’s long beach front but somehow development has not spoiled it.
